What is TFGBV?
UNFPA defines technology-facilitated gender-based violence (TFGBV) as an act of violence committed, assisted, aggravated or amplified in part or fully through the use of information and communication technologies or digital media against a person on the basis of gender.
Who is this prototype for?
This interactive experience is designed for young people aged 18 to 29 to build knowledge and awareness of technology-facilitated gender-based violence prevention and digital safety.
Why doesn’t the prototype ask me questions or collect my feedback?
The prototype follows a safety-by-design and data minimisation approach. It does not collect or store users' information and it does not ask users to share personal experiences, names, contact details or other qualitative information.
What does the Quick Exit button do?
Quick Exit immediately takes you away from My Digital Space.
It replaces the current page in your browser history, but your browser may still allow you to return to previously visited pages using the Back button or history.
How were the support options chosen?
The prototype prioritises verified national support services so that users can access established sources of help regardless of where they are in Kenya.
What data does the prototype collect?
We use privacy-focused, cookie-free web analytics to understand how the prototype is being used.
We measure:
- visits to the prototype and pages viewed
- where visitors reached the prototype from, such as a partner link
- which scenarios are started
- which scenarios are completed
- visits to the support page
We do not use analytics to collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, responses to the scenarios or personal stories. Analytics are used to understand overall use of the prototype and are not intended to identify individual users.
